Dear families,
We are very excited to be selling Zooper Doopers on Fridays starting this week. We will be selling Zooper Doopers at lunchtime for the remainder of the term. Funds raised will go towards P&F activities and sandpit equipment.
The Ride 2 School Day, Easter Colouring Competition and Easter Raffle are also fun things to look forward to this term. See more details below.

Current events and fundraisers
Zooper Dooper Friday
For the remainder of Term 1, the Parents and Friends will be selling Zooper Doopers on Friday's at lunch time.
Zooper Doopers will be $1.00 each, a maximum of 2 per student. Students are encouraged to bring coins for payment, notes will not be accepted.
Parent helpers are requested to assist in selling Zooper Doopers. Please contact the P&F if you can assist between 11.00am - 11.40am on the following dates:
- Friday, 14th March
- Friday, 21th March
- Friday, 28th March
- Friday, 4th April
Funds raised will go towards P&F activities and the purchase of sandpit equipment.
Easter Colouring Competition
Colouring pages for the Easter Colouring Competition will be sent home with students Wednesday 12 March.
Completed colouring pages are due back to the school office by Wednesday 2 April.
Prizes will be presented on Friday 4 April. There will be one prize for each junior and middle years class and one prize for the senior years.
Easter Raffle
This year sees the return of the Easter Raffle!
The P&F are calling for donations of easter items that will be used as prizes - items like chocolate easter eggs, craft, books etc.
Items can be sent to school with students up until Thursday 27 March.
Donations will be used to make up prizes - hopefully multiple prizes allowing chances for lots of raffle winners!
More details on the Easter Raffle to come.
Ride 2 School Day - Wednesday, 19th March
The P&F is supporting the school to encourage students, where possible, to travel to school in an active way on Ride2School Day, Wednesday, 19th March 2024.
National Ride2School Day is normally held on Friday, 21th March, this is the same date as our school photos this year we have planned to celebrate a few days early.
National Ride2School Day is the perfect opportunity for students and school communities across Australia to embrace a healthier start and to try riding and walking to school for themselves.
Parents are encouraged to accompany their children, especially those who do not regularly actively travel to school.
Check out the ‘Ride ready checklist’ in the newsletter, plan the safest route to school including best locations to cross roads, especially when they are busy around school time.
For those students able to participate it is recommended for helmets and bikes/scooters to be labelled with the students name and class.
A secure site at school will be set up for students' equipment to be stored for the day.
If you cannot participate on the day, think of how you can get active the next time you are outdoors!

Hot Cross Bun Fundraiser
We have decided not to go ahead with the Hot Cross Bun Fundraiser this year, due to increased costs of packets. We hope families will support the Easter Raffle, there will be lots of opportunities of entrants to win!

P&F Involvement
Involvement in the P&F and the school community comes in all different forms and doesn't need to be a big time commitment.
Please reach out to the P&F if you may be able to help out during the year. Requests for help are sent out via Pam/Simon and the newsletter.
If you are interested in becoming a Committee Member – please contact us to have a chat. Being a part of the Committee isn’t a large time commitment and there are no set requirements of a member.
Feel free to contact us if you have any questions/ suggestions.
Register to be a volunteer
If you have a few hours to spare during the year and would like to get involved in the school community please register your interest to be involved as a parent helper through the P&F.

*Volunteer requirements*
Volunteers must hold a current Working With Children’s Check. These details must be supplied to the school office to also be held confidentially. WWCC’s are free for volunteers, you can apply through the Working With Children Check Victoria website.
Business interest
Do you own/run a business, or know of a business, that may be interested in being involved in supporting the school community through fundraisers, sponsorship, in-kind support or at events?
