Adventures in Stage 1

It has been a busy and exciting term in Stage 1! One of the highlights was our excursion to Uralla, where we learned all about Captain Thunderbolt. We were also fortunate to have Jay Stone visit us to help prepare for the athletics carnival — it was great fun and full of energy!
Another special guest, Jaydyn Potter, spoke to us about kinship and Indigenous culture. We explored totem animals, discovered traditional tools used for hunting and gathering and learned about their cultural significance. In art, we enjoyed creating our own dot paintings, inspired by Indigenous techniques.
Throughout the term, we've also been actively engaged in hands-on learning experiences in mathematics, making it a fun and productive term!
