School Council President

Hi everyone,

I feel privileged to take on the role of School Council President. As a parent of 3 kids (grades 1, 3 and 5) and a local small business owner the timing is right for me to give back to a school that has given my family so much since joining the former pre-school and community back in 2019 with our eldest son. 

Acknowledging the challenges the community have faced with changes in school leadership, covid years of roller-coaster times and decline in enrolments have had an impact on our lovely tight  knit community, I want to reassure you all that there is a dedicated school council formed last night for 2025 to help steady the ship and help steer us all in the right direction. 

Our focus will largely be on 3 key areas we all agree need attention and considered support.

These are quite simple:

* Foundation 2026 class - dedicated teacher and single year level unless any grade 1's join (currently 0 grade 1's forecast for 2026)

* Strategies to retain our current families - don't be a stranger, if you have concerns please contact me direct or any of my fellow council members

* Communication. We hear overwhelmingly that this is a key criteria that needs addressing and WE WILL WORK WITH YOU TO MAKE THIS HAPPEN. Some awesome ideas are already flowing since our last forum a couple of weeks ago and we will be red hot on making comms available and accessible across multiple forums including a soon to be announced parent / kids evening with pizza and refreshments supplied with easy ways to connect with other families and share ideas on what's great about the school, what needs change and what needs to stop.

Look forward to meeting more of you at pick up and social events to be announced.
