North West Tour

Year 11's the day is almost here! We are so very excited to be heading off on the NWT and hope you are too. Please remember it will be quite warm; sun protection and hydration are very important. I would recommend a rashie if you have one as we are spending a lot of time in the sun. It may also rain as a tropical low is somewhere off the coast of WA. This will bring showers, so a waterproof bed is essential.

Please use the next week to double check the packing list. There are minimal washing machines so it would be preferable to have enough light clothing and underwear to last the week plus one.

Parents, please remember that we close at 4pm on Friday the 11th of April for the school holidays. No trains will be available for students on NWT so parent pick-ups will be necessary.

Student Illness

Unfortunately, the change of seasons has hit us hard as many students are presenting with cold and flu-like symptoms. Due to the fact that we have shared facilities (especially for most Year 11's), illness is easily spread. Can I please ask parents to please keep ill students at home for a couple of days if at all possible. I feel for the students who are not well and really just want to be home. I know this is not possible for all but having sick students and staff for NWT is not optimum.

Respect for each other

This past fortnight in Boarding we have been focussing on respect for each other and staff. The majority of students make our boarding community collegiate and fun. They are showing the right values and skillset that they will be able to take into the workplace and post graduate study, in particular the Year 12's. Living and working together is great practice for the resilience and maturity our students will need next year after they graduate. Keep up the good work!!
