From Associate Principal

Leanne Sjollema

Despite the end of term drawing rapidly closer, it is critical that students maintain their focus during instructional time to ensure they are achieving to the best of their ability.  It has been great to get the chance to pop into classes and evening prep and see the students working hard on assessments, projects and competencies. During our staff meeting yesterday, College staff examined our behavioural data from the past 8 weeks and it was wonderful to see that there were a huge number of positive entries going home to students and parents as a result of great work ethic, engagement and positive interactions around the College. Keep up the great work.

Progress reports

Progress reports are currently being completed by staff across all sections of the College and these will be mailed home to parents/guardians on Friday 4th April. These reports are a chance for staff to give clear feedback on student attitude and efforts thus far this term as well as an indication of how each student is progressing academically. I encourage you to reflect on these reports with your child, celebrate successes and support them to identify areas of possible improvement they can focus on next term.

Parent/Student/Teacher Interviews will be held next term on 29th May, please keep an eye out for further details in the next chatter. As always, staff at the College are always willing to discuss your child progress via email, phone or appointment, so please reach out if you wish to raise concerns or seek additional feedback.

Now is the time that students and staff start getting fatigued and run down so it is important everyone is doing their best to stay organised, continue to be respectful when dealing with others and remember that each of us is responsible for creating and maintaining the positive culture at Cunderdin Agriculture. Please make conscious choices to be kind, be respectful and always do your best.
