Harmony Week

Harmony Day is celebrated every year in March. It celebrates Australia’s cultural diversity. Harmony Day is about including, respecting and appreciating the stories, traditions and cultures of all people who call Australia home.

One way we celebrate Harmony Day at SMDP  is to wear the colour orange. This is the official colour of Harmony Day. Wearing something orange on Harmony Day shows that you believe in an inclusive Australia where everyone is welcome and everyone belongs. The students also participated in activities in their class that highlighted the importance of belonging.
