The next Volunteer Induction Session will be held on:

Wednesday the 2nd of April starting at 9:15am. If you wish to attend, please see office staff to add your name to the expression of interest form.

The induction program covers information around the Victorian Child Safe Standards, Occupational Health & Safety and a familiarization tour of the school.

The Victorian Department of Education states:

Volunteers should be inducted, trained and supervised according to the school’s procedures for staff or volunteer induction and management. This includes being familiar with school level procedures for identifying and reporting suspected child abuse.

Should you wish to volunteer at DPW (attend excursions/incursion, assist in the library, attend onsite activities etc.):

  • Contact the school office to add your details to the volunteer expression of interest form. The induction must be completed each year.
  • Supply the school office with your Working with Children (WWCC) Clearance (we will take a photocopy for our records)
  • Complete a volunteer induction session facilitated by the school (offered at the beginning of each term and if there are sufficient numbers, to offer an additional session during the term)

If you have any further questions, please contact the school office.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION-

School Saving Bonus

SSB Important Reminder - Please Action if you wish to use any portion of the $400 School Saving Bonus on school activities.

If you wish to use any portion of the $400 SSB on school activities (including excursions or camps) please note that you must go into the SSB Portal and allocate the money to “Activities”. You are not selecting a specific activity at this stage, rather an amount you wish to have available to use at the school. We cannot allocate SSB money to any school activities unless you have reallocated the funds in the SSB Portal beforehand.

This must be done by each individual family using their secure SSB Portal login details. The SSB Portal is integrated with the school system and this allocation is required to allow the school to use the funds on your behalf.

The SSB Portal works in $50 increments.

1. Decide what portion of the original SSB ($400) you wish to use on Uniforms – if any.

2. In the SSB Portal, reallocate the remainder of the $400 to Activities.

3. This will then enable you to use the funds on any school activities in the future.

Please note: Any unspent SSB funds on 1 July 2025 will sit in your Family account indefinitely, the funds rollover for use in future years.

Please note: Uniform purchases can be made up until the end of June 2025. After this date, all unspent SSB funds with remain at school for school activities only.
