Celebration Spot

Each week we love to celebrate any students who may have achieved something significant during the past week; sporting events, dancing, baptisms, theatre, music achievements, new babies etc. both inside school and outside school.

Please email reception@dcs.tas.edu.au with the details (we would love a photo too!) so we can celebrate together as a community.

School Wide Way Winners

Congratulations to the following students for receiving the DCS School Wide Way Winner awards last week!

Beauty and the Beast Ballet

Last week, two of our students, Layla B and Lana M, had an opportunity to audition for the Beauty and the Beast production with the Victorian State Ballet company.  Out of 21 girls who auditioned, both Layla and Lana were 2 of 12 girls who were selected, and both girls were very excited to be chosen. They were taught the ballet routine to then perform in the shows last Wednesday and Thursday night in Burnie. In Layla's words, it was the best experience and she made some new friends. What a great opportunity!

Pony Club State Games Championship

Congratulations to Giselle P. who recently won the B Division at the Pony Club State Games Championship in Brighton, Tasmania.
