Parent Teacher Interviews

Parent Teacher interviews will be held in Term 3 on Wednesday 30th July for both Primary and Secondary students.  Bookings for Parent Teacher Interviews are now open and can be made through Parent Lounge.

Primary interviews will be held in both the Jiloa Centre and Alpha HQ (STEM Centre), and Secondary interviews will be held in the Secondary classrooms.  Please note, for primary families wishing to see Robb Dennis, he will be meeting with parents in the Secondary classrooms.

All class and specialist teachers will be available for you to speak with.

If you would like to make an appointment to discuss any aspect of your child's learning, please click here to book your times through Parent Lounge. When booking, particularly for families wanting both Secondary and Primary appointments, please allow enough time between appointments to meet with staff in different buildings.

If you have any queries or need assistance to login, please contact the school on 6423 1373 or email reception@dcs.tas.edu.au

Mid-year reports will be emailed to parents prior to Parent Teacher Interviews at the beginning of Term Three.

Premier's Reading Challenge

This year our students again have the opportunity to participate in the Tasmanian Premier’s Reading Challenge.

The Tasmanian Premier's Reading Challenge is open to all students from Kinder to Year 9. It began on Monday 16th June and ends on Sunday 24th August.

How many books will you read in 10 weeks? Set your personal reading goal for the Challenge, grab some books, start reading and see how you go!

You are free to choose any books you want to read for the Challenge. You can read books in a variety of formats including print, digital, audiobooks and graphic novels. For younger children, a book that is read to them counts toward their total.  Larger chapter books can be counted as more than one book.

Students will need to complete a log book as part of the challenge, and all students who return a completed log book to the school office will receive a signed certificate from the Premier of Tasmania.

Log books will be sent home with students prior to the commencement of the challenge, and extras are available from the school office,  or they can be downloaded by clicking on the following links:

All completed log books are due to the school office by Friday 29th August.
