Chaplain's Chat

What does it mean to be an Anglican school?
Community
Community is achieved as we gather around shared activities reflecting what is truly important. This week, we celebrate our connection with the local church and broader community. There is also another opportunity for us to help others.
Hymnfest 2025
Christ Church Anglican Echuca was filled with singing and music last Sunday afternoon as the people from across the community and churches gathered for Hymnfest. Our Junior Singers performed beautifully an arrangement of ‘All Things Bright and Beautiful’ by John Rutter. This year saw the inclusion of our senior singers who performed the spiritual ‘Down to the River to Pray’ a cappella with beautiful harmonies.
Winter Food Drive
This winter, we invite our school community to participate in our Winter Food Drive, supporting individuals and families in need in our local area.
2025 Theme: 'Breakfast Foods'
Over the next two weeks, Secondary students are encouraged to donate a breakfast food item with a long shelf life. Examples can be found on the attached flyer, and students are welcome to bring more than one item if they wish.
Your donations will be given to the Neighbourhood House food pantry, which has informed us that their resources are currently running low. Neighbourhood House is a local organisation dedicated to supporting individuals and families in need right here in the Echuca-Moama area.
Echuca Moama Coat and Blanket Drive
It was a privilege to deliver coats and blankets on behalf of our school community to help people in need this week. Our Community Spirit Captain and primary Co-Curricular Captains did a great job coordinating this initiative.
