Expanding Co-Curricular Dance Opportunities - Introducing UPSTAGE
Expanding choice and opportunity for students across the scope of our Co-Curricular and Extra-Curricular Programs has, and continues to be, a strategic focus in alignment with our 2024 & Beyond Strategic Priorities.
Student access to rigorous Academic Learning Programs, supported by proactive networks of care and broad choices within our Co-Curricular and Extra-Curricular offerings, is essential to ensure holistic growth and development for every child.
At Moama Anglican Grammar, we are proud of the extensive choices our students have before, during and at the end of the school day which are tailored to individual passions and interests.
Commencing at the start of Term 3 we are delighted to announce to our school community the introduction of expanded Co-Curricular Dance opportunities through the launch of a new and exciting program named UPSTAGE. Led by our recently appointed and highly experienced Dance teacher, Ms Phoebe Barnes, UPSTAGE will be a dynamic and engaging Co-Curricular Dance Program designed to operate like a Dance School within the school term.
The core objective of UPSTAGE is to provide all students with an opportunity to engage in Dance and develop an appreciation for the art form. While the program is designed to be fun and inclusive, it will also maintain high performance standards.
Catering for all ability levels, UPSTAGE will provide students with the opportunity to participate in Dance classes across various styles, culminating in a high-quality performance in Term 4.
At a high level, I am delighted to announce that our students will have access to the following Co-Curricular Dance opportunities next Term.
- Beginner / Intermediate Dance Squad (Years 5 to 12) on Monday afternoons from 3.15 to 4.15pm
- Dance elective within the Years 4 to 5 Core Sport offering on Wednesdays
