Kitchen  Newsletter — Welcome to Term 3! 🍽️

We’ve had a fantastic start to Term 3 with lots of hands-on cooking, learning and teamwork happening in the kitchen and garden!

👩‍🍳 Prep Students — Mini Muffin Pizzas!

Our Prep students had a blast in their Italian class making mini pizzas using English muffins as the base. They chose and added their own favourite toppings showing lots of excitement and independence in the kitchen. A fun and tasty way to learn through food!

🧁 Grade 4s — Choc Chip Muffin Magic

Grade 4 students baked delicious choc chip muffins — all by themselves!

  • They measured every ingredient

  • Learned the difference between tablespoons and teaspoons

  • Practised using cups and ½ cups, keeping them level for accurate baking.

Such a great lesson in real-life maths and baking skills!

🍳 Grade 6 MasterChef Challenge!

Our Year 6 students have kicked off their exciting MasterChef program this term!

  • Running over 3 weeks, students in pairs are tasked with creating a main meal and a dessert.

  • They’re showing amazing teamwork, creativity and impressive cooking skills.

  • So far, we’ve seen delicious dishes and innovative ideas — the competition is heating up!

We’re so proud of how confident and skilled these young chefs are becoming. Stay tuned for their final dishes and  announcement of the winners!

🌱 Garden Update

The school garden is looking amazing — full of colour, life and fresh ingredients! We’ve been using our own garden produce in lots of recipes — from herbs and leafy greens to fresh veggies. It’s so rewarding for the students to cook with what they’ve helped grow.

Looking forward to another term full of cooking, growing, learning and tasting together!
