Principal's Page

Dear Parents and Friends,
Tomorrow, we welcome five visitors to our school who will form the panel for the school visit component of our School Cyclic Inquiry. This panel will be with us for two days: tomorrow, Thursday 19 June 2025, and again on Friday 27 June 2025.
The panel is made up of Catholic Education Office personnel, colleagues from the Parramatta and Rockhampton Dioceses, and an external education expert. Their main role is to help us identify our strategic priorities for the next four years. They will engage with our School Leadership Team, interview staff, students, parents, and Father Patrick, and conduct Literacy and Numeracy Learning Walks.
We are looking forward to sharing our school's journey in faith, learning, and wellbeing over the past four years. We're also excited for them to see firsthand the excellent learning and teaching that occurs every day.
We would love to have a few more parents participate in the group interview on Friday 27 June 2025, between 11:20 am and 11:50 am. If you're available, please contact the school office.
Thank you to all parents who completed the Tell Them From Me Survey. This is the second year we've run this survey, and we'll continue to do so annually to help us identify important trends over time. The data we collect will directly inform our School Cyclic Inquiry, and we will share the findings with the community early next term.
Semester 1 Reports
The Semester 1 reporting period is a time to celebrate your child/ren's achievements and learning during the first half of the year. Semester 1 student reports for Kindergarten to Year 6 will be available via the Compass Portal from 3:30 pm on Thursday 26 June (Week 9). If you would like to meet with your child’s teacher to discuss your child’s report, please contact the school office.
Uniform Requirements - Hair
Over the past few weeks we have been reminding students of our school Hair Requirements and in doing so have made clear what is meant by an Extreme hairstyle:
Hairstyles
Students are required to wear their hair in a neat and tidy manner.
Long hair, or hair that touches the shoulders, or covers the eyes, is to be tied back off the face.
Haircuts should be blended and uniform in appearance. Extreme haircuts and excessive variations in length are not acceptable, including undercuts, steps, mullets, mohawks, rat’s tails, lines, extreme fades.
Hair should be natural in colour. Bleaching, colouring and dyeing of hair is not permitted.
Haircuts should not draw negative comments or attract undue attention.
Navy blue headbands (no sweatbands), ribbons and scrunchies may be worn in the hair.
We truly appreciate parents' support in ensuring these requirements are upheld.
2025 Annual Improvement Plan
Goal: Through quality assessment, students will be challenged in their learning, to ensure continual growth and achievement.
Moderating Processes have continued over the past two weeks in Professional Learning Teams where teachers moderate work samples, assessments and application of learning to align with the Common Grade Scale and to develop consistent teacher judgements
Professional Learning in Phonic Instruction continues with workshops deepening teacher knowledge and developing school-wide practices.
Recent Staff Professional Learning
