Delicious honey muffins were made during Inspire Kitchen Garden.  You can find the recipe below.

Kitchen Garden

3B and 4B used silverbeet, lemons, sage, thyme, rosemary and pumpkins harvested from the garden to make baked pumpkin risotto, a focaccia topped with herbs and a delicious pumpkin and choc orange cake.  You can find the recipes below.

 

Volunteers Needed for Semester Two Kitchen Garden Sessions!

Are you or someone you know able to volunteer for Kitchen Garden sessions?  It's a wonderful opportunity to be involved in our Skye Community.  All volunteers require a current Working with Children Check which is an easy and free process. Food Tech

Our citrus trees are in abundance of fruit, so the students in Prep, Year 1 and Year 2 loved harvesting and sampling oranges, mandarins, grapefruit, limes and lemons.

 

The students in Year 5 and 6 participated in their first Food Tech session.  They enjoyed working in groups to make pancakes.  Eggs from our chickens and lemons from the garden were used.  You can find the recipe below.
