CAMP: We are so excited to start to get prepared for Camp in Term Three! Over the next few weeks we will start to send information home so please keep an eye on our Connect, Sentral and your child's bag. If you have any questions or concerns, please let us know or we can discuss in our parent teacher interview!
We are looking forward to meeting with you next week to discuss your childs progress! We have been proud of their resilience and perserverance. Remember to book online through Sentral. Spots are filling quickly!
Wet Weather Clothing: While the temperature continues to plummet, we are hoping that all families could check their child(ren)'s bag for a spare change of clothing, specifically pants. A plastic bag is also handy to put wet clothes in, just in case of slips or falls in the muddy grass! Thank you!
Congratulations to the following students on receiving their bronze awards this fornight!

Literacy: We were really proud of the students this past week as we have focused on drafting, editing and publishing facts and information about our endangered Australian Animals. The students have also been focusing on answering comprehension questions with full sentences and using appropriate punctuation.
Next term we will start with narrative and focusing on a book study! We will also focus further on grammar and sentence level work such as understanding the difference between simple and compound sentences.
Numeracy: To finish Term Two, we have re-visited our addition and subtraction skills. Last week we finished our learning on number patterns and angles.
Next term we will start with Time telling, so get practising on those analogue clocks! Then we will revisit multiplication and division.
Inquiry: The children have worked so incredibly hard this term on learning about important conservation efforts to protect fragile animals and plants in our country. This has resulted in amazing booklets created about a chosen Australian animal that is currently under threat! Hopefully we will have some of these on display shortly!
Wellbeing: This week we finished our unit on Problem solving. This unit was all about different strategies we can use to solve problems, both at school and at home! We looked at the pros and cons of each problem and used a 'round about model' to think about our choices. To finish our unit, the students looked at scenarios and gave 'advice' to each person of positive ways to solve or deal with their problem.
Next term we will begin by reflecting on our ready to learn plans, look at our strategies and the move into the unit 'Personal and Cultural Strengths'.
Check out these cool directed drawings completed by some of our students. You will see these on display in the patch. We love how each drawing, even with identical instructions has it's own personality!
