31 July 2025 Emily
This week’s Super Hero is an absolute legend! Emily was recognised for following all of our school values — Excellence, Respect, Persistence, Responsibility, Care, and Pride. That’s a pretty big achievement for someone so young!
In the classroom, Emily's a total superstar, always giving her personal best, lending a helping hand, and being a kind and caring friend. Her manners are next-level, always showing respect to everyone she meets (even when no one’s watching!).
Emily brightens up the room every single day with her big smile, and she tackles every task like a champ. She's got a great sense of humour too, and we love hearing her share her thoughts with the class!
And guess what? She’s only in Foundation! That makes all of this even more amazing. We can’t wait to see all the incredible things she’ll achieve in the years to come.
Congratulations Emily, we hope you've had a great week.

100 Days at School
This week, our Foundation students marked a very special milestone — 100 days of school! The day was filled with excitement and celebration as the students proudly showcased all they’ve learned and achieved so far.
The festivities began with joyful singing at assembly, where the Foundation Unit was warmly applauded by the whole school community. Students got creative making their very own “100 Fruit Loop” necklaces, wearing colourful, handmade crowns, and enjoying some delicious treats packed into their lunchboxes for the occasion.
A special highlight of the day was a visit from Mr. B, who helped each student create a portrait to remember this milestone. The day was a wonderful blend of creativity, learning, and fun — a perfect way to celebrate the incredible growth and enthusiasm of our youngest learners.
Congratulations to our Foundation students on reaching 100 days of school!

Working Bee Reminder
Our next working bee is planned for Sunday August 10 from 10 am.
Our working bees are a fun opportunity to create and maintain our school gardens and outdoor learning and play spaces. Lunch is provided by the P&F to feed the hungry workers. Children are welcome on the understanding that you take full responsibility for their supervision and wellbeing. It’s a great chance for families that are new to the school to mix and mingle with the school community.
The school has a limited number of tools, so please bring along any of your own that you are happy to use. Wheelbarrows, shovels and garden forks, weeding tubs, trowels, secateurs, and the like are all very handy.
Don’t forget your gardening gloves and anything else you need to stay safe and comfortable.
See you there!

School Saving Bonus
The SSB Parent Portal has now closed for parents/carers.
Remaining funds have been transferred to the school for most students to be used for school events.

New School Uniform Supplier - Lowes
Our uniform distributor, A Plus Schoolwear, has sold the company to Lowes from the 1st July 2025. The manufacturing still remains with AGS Prints so you will not see any changes to the style or quality of our uniforms.
Existing back orders will continue to be fulfilled and delivered to schools by APLUS Schoolwear.
Uniforms will still be available for purchase online and will be delivered to your home rather than the school. There will be no delivery charge for the remainder of the year, however, there will be a $10 charge from 2026. Prices of uniforms remain unchanged for this year.
Purchases will be able to be made directly from Lowes at Lansell Plaza in Kangaroo Flat, Bendigo, who will hold a full range in all sizes.
Lowes offer special sale days throughout the year and a reward and zero card system.
Carpark Safety
We would like to address some important safety concerns regarding carpark use, and we kindly ask for your cooperation.
Kindergarten Carpark
We have been made aware that some families are using the kindergarten carpark who are not attending the kindergarten. This carpark is reserved exclusively for kindergarten families. If you have both kindergarten and school-aged children and need to park there, please ensure you use the ramp to access the school grounds.
The increased traffic in this area is making it difficult for kindergarten families to find parking and is also creating a safety risk due to the higher volume of foot traffic. Please also note that the gate between the kindergarten and school is now locked — children should not be lifted over the gate under any circumstances.
School Carpark
The school carpark has vehicles moving in and out throughout the day. For safety reasons, we ask that pedestrians do not use the stairs near the flag poles and then walk through the carpark as a shortcut. The designated ramp or steps are to be used when entering or exiting the school.
Thank you for your support in helping keep all members of our school and kindergarten community safe.
