We learned that the Church uses symbols to communicate God’s love.
So we can understand the meaning of the symbols and therefore communicate and share God’s love with others.

Year 3 Prayer Service. The children wrote prayers based on our call to live lives of love and service strengthened by the Holy Spirit. Children wrote their own pledge or commitment about how they will love and serve others.
Year 4 recently hosted a special Liturgy and morning tea to celebrate people whom they consider to be courageous. This was part of our Religion unit, which examined the disciples, particularly their response to the Holy Spirit and how they went forth to spread the Good News.
The students created an invitation for their special guests in class and, with their families' help, invited them. In our religion lessons, we learnt how to write prayers of petition, and in our Liturgy, we prayed them. On the Monday, we shared a very special Liturgy with our families and guests, and then enjoyed a "terrifically spectacular" (as described by Year 4!) morning tea. Year 4 wishes to thank you for coming and making this a memorable event for all.
