Thursday 3rd July Last Day of Term 2 for students.
As Term 2 draws to a close, I want to express my sincere gratitude to everyone I've had the pleasure of interacting with over the past five weeks. Your contributions have truly made this a great term. To all students, teachers, staff, and parents, your efforts haven't gone unnoticed.
First and foremost, I want to extend my deepest appreciation to the students. Your hard work, dedication, and enthusiasm have truly made this term a success. Your thirst for knowledge and willingness to engage in the learning process is what motivates us as educators. Thank you for your commitment to excellence and for making our jobs so rewarding.
Next, I would like to express my gratitude to the teachers and staff members who have worked tirelessly to provide a supportive and enriching learning environment. Your passion for education, creativity in the classroom, and willingness to go above and beyond for your students is truly commendable. Your efforts have not only helped students succeed academically but have also contributed to their personal growth and development. Thank you for your unwavering dedication.
Additionally, I would like to recognise all of our parents, grandparents and guardians who have been supportive partners in the education of their children. Your involvement, encouragement, and cooperation have played a vital role in creating a collaborative and nurturing community. Your commitment to your children's education is invaluable, and we are grateful for your ongoing support.
As this newsletter reaches you, students will be kicking off their school holidays, and I hope everyone has some exciting plans! Whatever you're up to over the next two weeks, I want to wish you all a safe and happy break. I look forward to catching up with you all very soon.
Last Thursday, our students participated in the Chess Day held at Armidale City Public School. This event provided an opportunity for students to engage in chess matches and compete with peers from other schools.
Students focused on their individual matches, employing various strategies. The day offered a practical application of their chess skills and provided exposure to different playing approaches.
I extend my thanks to Mr. Lester for organising and supervising our teams during the day.
I would also like to congratulate all the students who participated. All of them should be proud of their accomplishment. I wish I had their patience and skills!
Dear Parents and Children,
It's truly hard to believe I have been away for five weeks, and I've missed the daily life and energy of the St Mary's community.
I'm so grateful for your prayers and kind wishes during my medical treatment. Your thoughtfulness has been a tremendous comfort to me.
I'm eagerly looking forward to returning and reconnecting with everyone as soon as I complete my treatment.
I thank Mr Hyatt, Mrs Reinke and all the staff for looking after St Mary’s while I have been away.
Wishing you all a wonderful and restful holiday break.
Cheers Mrs. Burton

Thank you parents for ensuring your children were wearing their full Winter uniform throughout the past fortnight, it was very evident that we take pride in our presentation.
Maintaining a high uniform standards is an important part of our school's identity and plays a significant role in fostering a sense of pride and respect for our school.
Our uniform identifies St Mary's School within the community and develops a sense of school spirit and belonging within the student body. Some specific uniform requirements, such as shoes, hats, hair and jewellery, are directly related to student safety. The wearing of the correct school uniform is compulsory, and students are expected to arrive wearing it daily, ready to learn. Families are asked to ensure that each item of clothing is clearly labelled.
We thank you for your partnership in this important aspect of school life.
