We really enjoyed our recent excursion to Red Energy Arena to see some awesome athletes. We cheered on the Scope team as they played two games of Balloon Football and even got to meet some of the players! We then played some adapted activities through a rotation, including: seated Newcombe, blindfold beanbag toss, wheelchair basketball, blindfold bell ball, and European handball. We would love to extend a big thank you to Mrs Gleisner for putting us in contact with Scope and to the team at Bendigo Stadium for this very awesome and enlightening experience.
As part of our P.E. classes, we visited Spring Gully Courts to learn all about tennis! We loved showing off our expertise and learned some new skills too!

We’ve also been investigating how authors like Dav Pilkey use different parts of speech to craft fun and engaging stories. This grammar focus is helping students better understand how language choices bring characters and stories to life.
It’s been a fantastic fortnight of rich discussion, creativity, and personal reflection in Literacy!
This fortnight in Maths, students have been developing their understanding of time and measurement. They have learned to accurately read and interpret both analogue and digital clocks, calculate elapsed time, and apply these skills to real-life scenarios such as planning and justifying a travel itinerary. Students have also been encouraged to clearly communicate their problem-solving strategies and solutions.
In our work with mass, students are learning that weight is measured using units such as grams, kilograms, and tonnes. They are practising how to select the most appropriate unit for different objects and are developing their ability to make reasonable estimates of an object’s mass.
