CHAPLAIN CHAT

What a fantastic start to the new school year it has been.  I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know our new students and their families, as well as welcoming back last year’s cohorts.  I find the New Year often comes with a fresh start. I’ve spoken to some of the students about new beginnings, new opportunities, new challenges, new environments and new people and taking this time to look at setting some achievable goals for the term and possibly the year ahead.

I work as part of the College Student Service Team. I am the Harvey Ag College Chaplain and am here to support staff, students and their families.  I take a holistic approach to care with a focus on social, emotional and spiritual well-being, walking along side students as they navigate life through their time here at the College.  I am thrilled to be on site a little more this year with Wednesday being my regular day, as well as some time in residential throughout the week.

I would like to thank the students for indulging me in my love of ‘themed days’ (as cringeworthy as they think it might be) As we celebrated all things LOVE last week.  Here are a few snapshots of some of the fun.
