NAPLAN will be occurring in Week 8 & 9 this term. Please ensure students bring a set of headphones with an AUX connection to plug into our school laptops.
Our Swimming Carnival will take place on Wednesday 5 March, in Week 6 at Lane Cove Aquatic Centre. This year, the carnival will be limited to competitors only, meaning that only students participating in the races will be allowed to attend. This decision aims to streamline the event and focus on the participants.
A competitor is defined as a strong swimmer who can competently swim 50 metres of freestyle, breaststroke, backstroke, or butterfly in deep water without stopping or holding onto the side of the pool or ropes.
All students from Years 3 to 6, as well as Year 2 students who are turning 8 years old this year, will receive a permission note via School Bytes.
It is important that all families complete the permission note—please select 'no' if your child will not be participating. We look forward to seeing all our competitors at the pool in Week 6! Our Sports House Captains will attend the event to cheer on our competitors.
The permission note must been completed by Monday 24 February in order for your child to compete.

CPS has new playground markings, these vibrant and engaging designs will encourage physical activity and imaginative play while incorporating elements of learning. Our goal is to create a fun, interactive environment where students can develop motor skills, promote teamwork, and foster a love for learning during playtime.
Saying farewell at the gate
To support our K-2 students in having a smooth transition into their classrooms in the morning, we ask that from Week 6 (3 March), parents and carers say farewell to their children at the gate.
By Week 6 students our students know their routines and are ready to develop their independence and practice their social skills organically in the playground.
Families are welcome to be onsite in the afternoons for their time to connect with other families.
