Strong partnerships between home and school make a huge difference in student success, and we appreciate your time and involvement.

We warmly invite all parents and carers to our first P&C Meeting next week. The P&C plays a vital role in building our school community, supporting initiatives, and providing valuable input into school decisions. Whether you’re a returning member or new to the school, we encourage you to come along, meet other parents, and be part of the conversation. Details on time and location will be shared in the P&C section of the newsletter.
It was fantastic to welcome back our 2024 Year 6 alumni at our recent catch-up afternoon tea. Seeing our former students reconnect and share their high school experiences was a special moment. We take great pride in staying connected with our alumni and watching them continue to grow beyond primary school. We wish them all the best for this next chapter and look forward to hearing more about their achievements!
We understand that there may be times when you need to pick up your child early for a doctor’s appointment. Wherever possible, we encourage families to schedule these appointments outside of school hours to minimise disruptions to learning.
If an appointment during school hours is unavoidable, we kindly ask that early pick-ups be arranged outside of break times or movement periods, as it can be challenging to locate students during these times, even with an announcement.
To assist with a smooth and timely pick-up, please avoid collecting your child between:
We would like to remind you of the importance of regular school attendance for all students from Kindergarten to Year 6. It is crucial for students to be present at school every day to ensure they do not miss out on valuable learning experiences.
However, we understand that there may be occasions when your child needs to be absent. Justified reasons for absence include:
Absences for these reasons will be marked as "Leave (L)" or "Sick (S)" as appropriate. Other reasons, such as family holidays or visiting relatives, will be marked as "Explained – Unjustified (A)".
Please be aware that students may miss significant learning while away from school. Therefore, we strongly encourage families to plan holidays or travel during school vacation periods.
Holidays taken by students outside of school vacation periods will now be included as absences. A Certificate of Extended Leave can no longer be granted for this purpose.
If you are applying for a planned absence which will exceed 5 days, parents must complete the "Application for Extended Leave Form". This form can be requested by emailing the school your child's name and class.
If the planned absence is accepted, a Certificate of Extended Leave will be issued, and the absence will be marked as “Leave (L)”. If the planned absence is not accepted, the leave will be marked as "Explained – Unjustified(A)" and no Certificate of Extended Leave will be issued.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in ensuring your child’s consistent attendance and academic success.
