Dear Parents,
Our students have made a strong start to the year and have settled into their routines. Teachers found the Parent-Teacher discussions valuable, as they provided insights into each child's personality and learning needs. These conversations are key to building strong relationships between parents, guardians, and teachers as we work together to support every student’s growth at St Christopher’s. Thank you for your involvement, and we look forward to communicating your student’s learning experiences and progress this year.
Next week, from Wednesday to Friday, our Year 5/6 students will be visiting Sovereign Hill in Ballarat for an exciting and educational experience. This trip offers a fantastic opportunity for students to build stronger relationships with their peers and teachers while engaging in hands-on learning. The visit will also provide valuable insights into Australian history, allowing students to deepen their understanding and apply their knowledge and skills in a real-world setting. We look forward to this memorable and enriching experience for all involved!
Please note that I will be attending camp for Wednesday and Thursday and in my absence Louise Sollecito and Maria Mangone will be available if you have any questions or concerns.
We are currently launching our enrolment campaign for 2026 and encourage you to recommend St Christopher’s to your family and neighbors. If you have a child ready to begin school in 2026, we invite you to submit an application as enrolments are now open. We will be hosting two Open Day mornings for prospective families on February 25th and March 19th. Word-of-mouth referrals from our current community are invaluable, so thank you in advance for supporting our efforts to maintain and grow student enrolments.

Excerpt from the School Handbook: Anaphylaxis is the most severe form of allergic reaction and is potentially life threatening. The safety of all our children is our highest priority. For some children even skin contact with the allergen can cause an allergic reaction. Our aim is to have all families refrain from sending nut products to school with their children. This includes peanut butter, hazelnut spreads and some muesli bars.
We also ask you to speak with your children about not sharing their food with other children as they will not be aware of any allergies other children have, this is particularly important in the younger year levels.
If you are the current holder of a Health Care Card (HCC), you may be eligible for Fee Relief, School Saver Bonus and CSEF payments. Please see the attached forms to complete and return to the office this week.
If you would like to further discuss payment of fees, please contact the school office or email principal@scsyndal.catholic.edu.au
All families are invited to attend this event being held on Friday 14th March, 3.30 to 5.30pm.
We require the help of some parents to come in, if they have a few hours to spare, to help with the following jobs:
If you are able to help with either of these, please contact Tracey in the office.
All help would be greatly appreciated.
