Student progress reports

As a result of a 2024 review of our student reporting processes, we are excited to introduce student Progress Reports.
Our new Progress Reports give you a clear, timely snapshot of your child’s engagement in learning—helping you celebrate their efforts and step in with support if needed. By focusing on effort, behaviour, and attendance—key drivers of success—we’re working together to build strong learning habits.
Parents told us they wanted earlier insights into their child’s progress, so we’ve designed these reports to keep you informed and empowered—making it easier to support your child’s growth every step of the way.
On Friday 14th March in Week 7, you will receive your child’s Progress Report via Compass. Each report will provide insights into:
- Effort and Behaviour in English and Numeracy: Assessment of your child’s effort and behaviour in the daily English and Numeracy teaching blocks. Effective learning is linked to positive behaviour, which helps create a conducive environment for all students. Please be aware this is not an indication of their academic progress.
- Attendance Record: Overview of your child’s attendance, crucial for their learning and development. Consistent attendance is essential for academic and social success. We monitor attendance closely to support your child’s growth.
Our PMPS progress reports are underlined by the Proud Port Behaviour Framework. Our Proud Port Behaviour framework integrates DE School-Wide Positive Behaviour Supports with evidence-based strategies to ensure a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment. We focus on teaching students to:
- Be Respectful
- Be Safe
- Be a Learner
You will receive your child's full academic semester report, measured against the Victorian Curriculum standards at the end of Term 2 and Term 4.
Thank you for your continued support. For any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
