School Wide Positive Behaviour Support at Malvern Primary

Our staff and students have collaborated to create a Malvern Primary School Behaviour Matrix. This matrix translates our school's key values into expected behaviours. It clarifies what behaviours should look, sound and feel like. Our expected behaviours are explicitly taught in every classroom and consistently reinforced throughout the school. With a focus on behaviours that demonstrate how to be respectful to others, being safe at school and the essential skills to be a successful learner. Each week students have an opportunity to focus on two specific behaviours through discussion, role-play and practise. Teachers provide consistent positive reinforcement through  feedback, praise and rewards to promote the positive behaviours.
