Pope Francis Award Program 2025

Mrs Maguire will be putting out a questionnaire to be completed by any Year 6 students interested in participating in the 2025 Pope Francis Award Program. 

This is an expression of interest only at this stage. 

There will be a parent information zoom in the coming weeks and after that time the candidates will be decided. 

Opening School Mass and Commissioning of Student Leaders for 2025

Last Friday the 7th Feb we had our opening school mass with students from years 1-6 in attendance. Fr Dan led the school community in a beautiful mass and even presented the school with a new candle to celebrate the Jubilee year of the church. 

We welcome Deacon Michael to the St Patrick's community and look forward to working with him this year.

My Mind Check 

This year St Patrick's will be a pilot school for a program called My Mind Check. My Mind Check has been developed by Macquarie University, funded by the Federal Government to assist schools and teachers understand the mental health needs of the students in their schools.

We have decided to trial this free, safe, online check in with our Year 5 and 6 students and work with these students to alleviate any mental health challenges that they might be facing.

We encourage all families to check out the My Mind Check website and read through the information provided on the site.

We will endeavour to complete our first "Check in" with our senior students in Week 3 of Term 1 during their health lesson time. Please check COMPASS to give consent.
