VSC Careers Expo 24

The Fallon Centre Auditorium was a buzz of positive energy yesterday during the VSC Careers Expo.  Excited students interacted with enthusiastic exhibitors asking lots of great questions about courses, pathways, early entry and University life.   It was lovely to catch up with Felicity Monk from RMIT, Arvin Hay from Monash, Kate Montgomery and Ben Callegaro from Richmond Institute of Sport all VSC alumni who are looking happy and travelling really well in their chosen pathways.  We thank them for attending the expo and providing our students with positive stories of their time spent at VSC and their transition beyond which always makes for a meaningful experience for our staff and students.  Early Entry Programs for 2025 Enrolments

VCE Programs

VCE Vocational Major

The VCE Vocational Major is a 2-year applied learning program within the VCE. It supports students to pursue their goals and aspirations with confidence and provides them with skills and knowledge for work and life.

Completing the VCE Vocational Major means:

• being ready to take on more learning after school, especially at TAFE or in an apprenticeship or traineeship • working towards one or more vocational education and training (VET) qualifications • having an employability edge after school.

The VCE Vocational Major is available at our school.

For the first time next year, two studies in the VCE Vocational Major (VCE VM) program – VCE VM Work Related Skills and VCE VM Personal Development Skills – will be available to any VCE student to include in their VCE.

Victorian Pathways Certificate

The Victorian Pathways Certificate (VPC) is a flexible Year 11 and Year 12 course designed for a small number of students who, for a range of reasons, are not able or ready to undertake the VCE or the VCE VM. Suitability for the VPC is based on agreement between the student, their parents and the school.

VET for school students

Your child can work towards one or more VET certificates in their VCE (including the Vocational Major) or VPC program.

VET is learning where your child will develop targeted and practical skills. The skills they learn relate to a career pathway, so they can apply them at work or in further education and training.

VET at school can be a path to a rewarding career in any industry. VET students get to try professions before leaving school. To learn more about the VCE Vocational Major, VPC and VET.   Your world. Your VCE. | vic.gov.au (www.vic.gov.au)
