Chess Club Come and Try Day

La Celebration De BASTILLE DAY 2024 A Willy  - Thursday 18th July, 2024

The whole school will be celebrating the French National Day of Bastille Day as a way to promote the French language taught at Willy Primary, which will reinforce the French values of ‘Liberte, Egalite, Fraternite’ (Liberty, Equality, Fraternity) that are essential to all people on the planet.

In the next couple of weeks, students will refresh and/or be introduced to this historical event of La Revolution Francaise (The French Revolution). They will understand why we are going to have this whole school celebration and what makes it an important day for French people and all human beings around the world. 

This will be a day of fun and learning, mixed with entertainment, full cultural immersion and exploration for the taste buds to celebrate together!

To prepare for our celebration, we are asking families to start thinking about putting together:

1. A French outfit for your child (no need to buy anything new! A bit of imagination and creativity goes a long way)

2. Ideas for a French lunchbox for the day (you can start researching recipes of simple yet yummy French foods to prepare at home with family to bring to school on the day)
