Grade 2 Celebration in The Outdoor Classroom

The Grade 2 cohort celebrated the end of Term 2 in The Outdoor Classroom. 

Students enjoyed the sunny afternoon reflecting on our learning. 

We worked collaboratively in expressing our imagination and creativity by using the Approaches to Learning we have implemented such as our Social Skills, Problem Solving Skills, and our Thinking Skills.

We were co-operative, working collaboratively by sharing ideas and discussing all the possibilities when using the natural resources.

Our focus this week was to be Reflective in our play. Here are some of our thoughts.

Today in Outdoor Classroom, I enjoyed it because we got to play with any of the Grade 2’s that we wanted to. I love to play with girls in 2D. We made a fairy garden. Sophie 2A

Today in the Outdoor Classroom me and my friends dug a very big hole, and we poured buckets of water into the hole, and we were making a waterfall. Solomon 2A

I like the outdoor classroom because we got to play with new people. I also like it because we got to play new games. Hazel 2B

I like the outdoor classroom because we got to make a river. Because we get to play with other people. I like it because it is fun. Ted 2B

Everyone was there. 2A, 2B, 2C and 2D. All my friends were there. Some of the things I played were tiggy and played Florie’s Lava. Grace 2C

We did a game which Solly and Clare started and Clementine. Rex had me in jail at the start but we got out after and came out alive! I liked that there were people from the other grades there too. Xavier 2C

We had so much fun making the biggest lake and playing cops and robbers together.
