✝️ Celebrating 22 Confirmation Candidates and Thanking Our Mentors

Last Friday night was a joyous occasion as we gathered to celebrate the Confirmation of 22 outstanding candidates from our school community.

The ceremony, was a testament to the commitment of our students as they took a significant step forward in their spiritual journey.  Each candidate, wore their red Confirmation stoles, which had their chosen saint name down one side; thanks to Tanya Oakley’s crafting skills.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all 22 Confirmation candidates for their hard work and commitment to their spiritual growth.

We also want to express our sincere gratitude to Mrs Brock, Mrs Grant, and Fr. Ashkar for their invaluable guidance, support, and mentorship throughout the Confirmation preparation process.  Their dedication to nurturing the faith of our students has played a vital role in this memorable and meaningful event.

✝️ ST VINNIES – Thank you, thank you. Thank you!

Once again, we thank our families for their generous contributions to our Vinnies Winter Appeal. Everytime we go to the supermarket, we are all aware of the cost of living expenses have risen, but unfortunately some in our community feel it even more.  If we can lighten the load for some, we are following our College theme of ‘through service we receive’. Proudly, many students were able to make connection between what they were doing with Jesus’ example of working with the poor and helping others in need.

✝️ Year 8 and Year 3 Come together

Year 8 Faith Education classes shared their learning last week with 3 B. The 8s had been learning about Jesus’ time – the country, the groups of people, the occupations, the villages and housing etc. They created appropriate age level slideshows which taught the Year 3 students all about the time. Year 3 then recorded facts into their own Faith books along with images. Both year levels were able to discuss the experience together and suggested that ‘it should happen more often’
