Christmas Art Exhibition
Now in its 10th year, the diocesan Christmas Story Art Competition and Exhibition has become a much-loved tradition in the lead up to competing with other students from the Archdiocese of Sydney and the Diocese of Wollongong.
The Christmas Story Art Competition provides an opportunity for students in Stage 3 (Year 5 and 6) to create art works and written reflections based on one of several scripture passages that depict the birth of Jesus Christ. This Exhibition aims to allow students to develop a greater awareness of the Scriptures through the creation of an artwork connected to the Christmas season. In engaging with the Scriptures in such a way, students have the opportunity to reflect more deeply on the events of the biblical stories and better understand their relevance in their lives today.
All of Year 5 and 6 have been creating artworks for this year's competition and we warmly welcome parents to come to our exhibition to admire the work that has been produced by our students.
We especially thank Mrs Worland (Year 6) and Mrs Livingstone (Year 5) who have led the students in creating their artworks and who have worked hard to prepare the gallery. Thank you!
ALPHA is on Wednesday, 6pm at St Mary's Church gathering space. Good food, fun conversation, and great company.
All are welcome!
