TERM 2 SPORTS @ MESC
Mr Williams & Mr Roberts - MESC Sports Coordinators
Term 2 has seen a large array of sports being conducted with plenty of involvement from all year levels at MESC.
A large cohort of students competed at the SPD district athletics carnival at Ballam Park earlier in the term. With plenty of amazing performances and results, MESC was well represented at all year levels showing great displays of attitude, effort and school spirit! We wish all the successful students all the best at the next level.
Term 2 saw our cross-country carnival held at school this term as well as the district carnival at Hastings foreshore. MESC had a great representation of students across all year levels competing well both at school and district level. We congratulate and wish all the students the very best at the next level which will be held on Tuesday the 25th of June. We also would like to give a big Congratulations to Maddison Dobney of 7E who came in first place in the under 13 girls race. Well done Maddy! Overall, the students showed great effort, school spirit and attitude when supporting their fellow school members during their races.
Interschool sports this term involved Boys & Girls AFL, Girls & Boys Netball, Soccer and badminton. The feedback we received was awesome to hear regarding students’ behaviour and attitude towards both umpires and opposition teams. We had plenty of teams across all year levels go out and represent the school reflecting a great representation of participation of sport which is exciting moving forward for the college. We also had numerous successful teams which we congratulate and wish them all the very best at the next level of their respective sports. The SMR events will be held in term 3.
Congratulations to following teams winning and making it through to the SMR level:
Congratulations to MESC’s very own Addison year 7 who has been selected to represent Victoria in Gymnastics up in Queensland on the last week of term. We know Addison spends a lot of time training really hard and we are proud of her achievement in representing the state! Congratulations Addison and all the very best!
