Dear Parents and Carers,

Celebrating Success: A Gratitude Note from the Twilight Sports Event

At Our Lady Help of Christians (OLHC), community isn't just a word – it's a way of life. This was evident once again at our last night's Twilight Sports Event, where the collective efforts of our community members shone brightly, creating an atmosphere of camaraderie, support, and achievement.

As we reflect on the success of the event, it's crucial to recognise the vital role that community plays in both the social and academic growth of our children. At OLHC, we firmly believe that a strong sense of community fosters a nurturing environment where students can thrive not only academically but also socially and emotionally.

At OLHC, we firmly believe in the transformative power of community for our children's growth. A strong and supportive community fosters an environment where students flourish academically, socially, and emotionally. Socially, it teaches vital skills like communication and teamwork. Emotionally, it provides a safe space for self-expression and builds confidence. Academically, it offers a nurturing community where students are more likely to feel comfortable seeking help when encountering challenges. Our community isn't just a backdrop; it's an essential part of the educational journey, shaping well-rounded individuals ready for the future.

Twilight Sports wouldn't have been possible without the dedication of various individuals and groups within our community. Firstly, a heartfelt thank you to The PFOL for their unwavering commitment to organizing the sausage sizzle and fundraising efforts.

A special acknowledgment goes out to our hardworking staff whose tireless efforts ensured the smooth running of the event. From setting up to supervising, their dedication behind the scenes is truly commendable and reflects the ethos of OLHC.

Of course, none of this would have been possible without the enthusiasm and sportsmanship displayed by our students. Their competitive spirit and willingness to participate, embody the values we strive to instill at OLHC. We also extend our gratitude to the families who attended the event, demonstrating their unwavering support for our school community.

Last but certainly not least, a monumental thank you to Mr. Mark Pinkerton for his professional coordination of the event over the past 25 years. His dedication and leadership have been instrumental in making the Twilight Sports Event a cherished tradition at OLHC.

Kind regards,

Rudy Vail
