Catholic Education Week Mass at St Patrick's

All of the grade 6 class went to the city to go to church.

It’s a lot different to our church at school.  St Particsks is so much bigger.

The service was different from the one we have at school.

After mass we went to a concert at the park there was some highschoolers singing. There were games such as mini soccer and tug of war after that to finish it off we went to 7/11 and we all got slushies and then went back to Lilydale to get picked up.    Fynn

On Friday we had a great time going to Melbourne. The grade sixes went to church in the morning and after the service, we headed to a nearby park to watch a college band perform. The music was fantastic and we had lots of fun listening and dancing to the upbeat music. it was a beautiful day and being outdoors in the park.  Overall it was an amazing day with new friends and a great time.   Lexi

Apparently, there were about 200 schools there and people where representing their schools with about 2 to 3 people with a flag of their school and walking through the aisle.  After the church we went to the park and there was a band there and Mr Foley said that he would give us a large slurpy if we got out in the front and started dancing so I was a bit scared but I did and it was so much fun and when we where walking to 7 eleven we where saying to the boys should not get a large as they did not start dancing first. Mr Foley told us that we were getting a slushy anyway. I said “Grrrr  Mr Foley!”  Mahli

Feast of St Joseph

The Foundations, grade 1's and grade 2's enjoyed learning about Joseph this week to celebrate St Joseph's Day! They learned how Joseph was someone who believed in God's word and trusted him. Joseph was a kind and caring man and we believe that we too can lead our lives like Joseph! Here are some of the Josephs we created!

The whole school completed a Stained Glass image of St Joseph.
