It can be hard sometimes learning how to play fair and deal with conflict in the playground at school.  We have been learning lots about fair play, respect and kindness in the 12 classroom this week.  Fair play is an essential concept for children to grasp as it lays the groundwork for their social development  and interactions. By understanding and practicing fair play, children learn valuable lessons about integrity, respect, and empathy. It fosters a sense of sportsmanship, teaching them to compete with dignity and to accept both victory and defeat graciously. Fair play encourages cooperation and teamwork, emphasizing the importance of following rules and resolving conflicts peacefully. Moreover, it cultivates a sense of fairness and justice, which are fundamental values in building a harmonious society.

Miss Smith's Family

My family are very important to me and I thought I would share a couple of pictures and introduce you all to them.  They eat a lot and always wake me up far too early in the morning.  But I love them dearly and wouldn't trade them in for anything! They are named after Norse Gods and Goddesses' (even though they are both girls).  My great grandmother was from Norway so I thought the name connection would be nice.
