SRC News

Last year we began our SRC Journey! SRC stands for Student Representative Council! The SRC is a group of students that meet three times a term to discuss things going on within school such as improvements that could be made, decision-making processes or just being a voice for other students' ideas!

Last year we elected our SRC leaders and because this was a new group we were implementing at St Joe's, we didn't quite get as much out of it last year as we would have liked to! The year became busy with lots of events on and time slipped away from us.

This year we are giving last year's SRC leaders another chance at this role and we are making sure to put a lot of thought and time into the development of our SRC. There was also room for a few more members of the SRC group and this week, the classes who needed a few new SRC reps had their nominations and voting processes. We were so glad to see so many students put their hands up.

This year SRC leaders are:

Foundation: Charlee De Boer and Lachlan Lester

1/2: Taylor Pye, Oscar McDonald-Halsall and Rory Worrall

3/4: Bennett Ball, Henry Price, Lilliana Payet

5/6: Matthew Van De Paverd, Danica DeBoer, Mackenzie Grayling and Harry Lord

We will have a badge presentation early next term!

They have already got a few things in the works and we are really looking forward to seeing how the rest of the year turns out!
