A Message from the Principal
Dear Parents and Carergivers
Welcome to Term Two and welcome to the new families who have joined the Salvado Catholic College community this term. With the changing seasons comes a fresh start—a time for renewal, growth, and shared aspirations.
At the heart of our mission lies a commitment to excellence in both academic pursuits and spiritual development. As a Catholic College, we are blessed with the opportunity to instil in our students the values encapsulated in the College Motto; Peace, Justice and Compassion. This term, let us reaffirm our dedication to fostering a learning environment where these principles are not only taught but lived out each day.
Primary Parent-Teacher Meetings
The Parent-Teacher interviews for Kindergarten to Year 6 will be held on Tuesday 23 April from 1:30pm – 7:00pm. Lessons for Primary School students will conclude at the end of Lesson 4 (12:44pm) on the day of the meetings. Please be advised that Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) will be available for families already enrolled. For further details please contact OSHC directly. The Covered Assembly Space will also be available for students if they are not able to travel home prior to the interviews. The meetings will be held in the Primary Learning Spaces. As per previous years, we will utilise the School Interviews Online booking system to schedule these interviews. This process enables families to see bookings made and view teacher availability in a timely way. The instructions for accessing this system has been sent to parents/caregivers.
Drop Off and Pick Up
As we commence the new term, it is important to remind parents/caregivers of the College Procedures and Guidelines for dropping off and picking up students. Whilst the full guidelines can be found here, please note the following:
ALL Students in Pre-Primary – Year 2 (and their older siblings) whose parents/caregivers are utilising the drive-through, are to be picked up from the WARRINGTON ROAD CARPARK.
ALL Students in Year 3 – Year 10 (without younger siblings) whose parents/caregivers are utilising the drive-through are to be picked up from the ABERNETHY ROAD CARPARK in the allocated bays.
NOTE: The MEAD STREET CARPARK is not a drive-through and parents/caregivers parked in Mead Street Bays are to walk their child/ren to and from the College grounds within the courts fence. This is a great car park for Kindergarten parents/caregivers in particular to utilise. Parents who have been using this carpark as a drive-through are to cease this unsafe practice immediately.
Please do not stop or park in any of the marked ACROD Bays in College carparks unless you hold a valid ACROD Bay permit.
Peace & Goodness to all,
Ian Hagen
Principal
