Dance Extraordinaire

Over the Easter long weekend, Emersyn (Year 2) competed in the Express Dance Challenge with her 3 solo routines and in the Improv sections as well.

She earned fantastic results overall, emerging First in Hip Hop, Third in Lyrical and Fourth in Jazz with all her routines, which qualify her for the Championships in October! We can't wait to hear more fabulous news from you, Emersyn! What an amazing achievement and 'Well Done'!

Going Places

Our very own Makenzie (Year 5) is State Champion in the Girls Race Walk event in the  WA State Junior Championships, which took place on 8 March!

That is a fantastic result and your hard work has definitely paid off! We look forward to you going places as you continue to walk, and earning the results you so deserve!

Emerging Equestrian

Congratulations to Marlie (Year 7), our first student to represent Salvado Catholic College in the WA Inter-School Equestrian Competition

Marlie had a great week, having lots of fun, hard work, and learning! She placed 5th overall in her jumping division and 3rd overall in her Show Horse division.

Next year, we hope to have a Team represent SCC that can include students in Primary as well. We will post more information next year, but details can be found at: https://wa.equestrian.org.au/interschool for future reference.

Marlie's mom, Brooke commented that it was great to talk to team managers from different schools and hear their ideas about how to get a team together, fundraising and organising nominations and gear, etc. It would be amazing to get other equestrians on board next year and have a team. "The kids have the best time, and of course, as a parent, it was lovely to watch them all chasing dreams and working hard."
