END OF TERM 1
We would like to remind families that the last day of Term 1 is Tuesday, 26th March
Finish times for all year levels are as normal.
CANTEEN
The last day of trade for the Student Canteen will be Monday, 25th March.
CAFE
Food & Drink service will trade as normal on Tuesday, 26th March.
END OF TERM BUSES
Afternoon buses will depart as per their normal schedule on Tuesday, 26th March.

OFFICE HOURS
- Reception closes at 4.15pm, Tuesday, 26th March (last day of Term 1)
- Reception will be open usual hours on Parent Teacher Interview Day, Wednesday, March 27th.
- Curriculum day, Monday 15th April - office will be open from 9am
- Normal office hours will resume 8.15am on Tuesday, April 16 (Start of Term 2)
PARENT VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
We are seeking 4-5 BHCS parents who would be willing to attend our Kinder and Primary Open Day next Saturday 23 March from 9:30 am until 11:30am. You will help run a BBQ and be a parent voice to welcome prospective new families attending the open day, chatting about the school and your experiences.

YEAR 7, 2026 APPLICATIONS
If you have a child who is currently in Year 5 and you are anticipating that they will attend BHCS, please submit an application by the end of the term to ensure students are considered for the first round of interviews. If your child attends BHCS for year 5 they are guaranteed a position for Year 7 and no need to reapply.

UNIFORM CHANGEOVER
Please be reminded that at the beginning of Term 2 there will be a uniform changeover period. Parents are asked to use their discretion as to which uniform is the most suitable for their child/ren to wear during the first two weeks of Term 2.
NAPLAN 2024 - YR 3, 5, 7 & 9
NAPLAN will be held at BHCS from Wednesday 13th to Friday 22nd March. Information for Parents and Carers can be found here. A public demonstration site with what the NAPLAN tests look like for the different year levels can also be found here.
Students absent during NAPLAN will be asked to catch up on missed tests. This will be arranged between the NAPLAN Coordinator and your child's homeroom teacher.
SUSTAINABLE SCHOOL SHOP
The Sustainable School Shop (https://www.sustainableschoolshop.com.au/) is an excellent online resource available for families to use to buy and sell second hand uniforms, books, calculators and musical instruments. Families can create an account and view items for sale via this website.

BHCS CANTEEN
PREP – YEAR 6: The canteen is available for lunch orders on Monday, Wednesday & Fridays. Primary students (Prep - Year 6) may pre-order lunch orders via the Flexischools app only. No window service.
YEAR 7 - YEAR 12: Are welcome to order at the Canteen window during recess and lunch
TREETOPS CAFE
The Café will be running every day except Wednesday. Senior students (Year 7 -12) are able to order food from the Café during break times. Only Year 11 & 12 students may use the tables and chairs in the Café.

Families are reminded to download and subscribe to the Flexischools app. This is the portal where day to day reminders and information is distributed to the school community. To subscribe to your child's 2024 class group, please follow the below instructions.
2024 TERM DATES
Please see below the amended flyer with dates for 2024. You will notice a change at the start of Term 3. Students will commence Term 3 on Tuesday, July 16, and teachers on Monday, July 15. Originally, students were due to start on Wednesday, July 17; however, due to the recent storms, our forced closure, and the loss of teaching time, we have moved the first day of Term 3 forward by one day. This is the only change for 2024. We hope that this advance notice will not cause any inconvenience.

We would like to remind families that if your circumstances change in any way - this includes address, phone numbers, email address, custody arrangements and fee arrangements - please update your Operoo profiles and then contact the School as soon as possible.
