PBL ~ Care for others!

St Vincent de Paul Christmas Hampers - Needed as soon as possible.

As the Christmas season approaches, we are excited to kick off our annual Vinnies Christmas Hamper Appeal! Each class has been assigned specific items to collect, and we kindly ask our generous parents to donate family-sized portions of each item.

This is a fantastic opportunity for our school community to come together and teach our students about the true meaning of Christmas and the joy of giving.

Here’s the list of items for each class:

• Kindergarten: Cordial and Coffee, Tea

• Year 1G: Bon Bons (Christmas Crackers)

• Year 1W: Milo and Hot Chocolate

• Year 2G: Vegemite and Jam

• Year 2W: Pasta and Pasta Sauce

• Year 3: Tinned Ham

• Year 4: Christmas Cake and Christmas Pudding

Science Spark Day ~ St Bernard's Berowra

The Science SPARK day was the best and last SPARK Day of 2024. It was full of fun experiments with Professor Hoffer from the Sydney University. Oliver and Steven from Year 5, and Beatrice, Noah and Isaac from Year 4 came to the extraordinary event at St Bernard’s Catholic School. We did lots of interesting experiments such as extracting DNA from our mouths, creating our very own hand sanitiser, looking at germs on our hands with a UV light, creating different virus models and studying different Water Bears through microscopes. It was a very exciting day to be experimenting with microbiology!  Oliver & Steven
