Dear Holy Family Parents and Carers, 

Friendology - A whole school program

I am thrilled to announce that Holy Family has officially commenced the URSTRONG program, Friendology 101! The program is designed to empower our students from Kinder to Year 6 with essential social and emotional skills, helping them to build strong, positive friendships and navigate social challenges with confidence.

Friendology 101 is a comprehensive curriculum that focuses on friendship-building and emotional intelligence. It teaches students how to:

• Identify and Understand Emotions: Recognizing their own feelings and those of others is crucial for healthy interactions.
• Communicate Effectively: Developing strong communication skills helps students express themselves and listen to others.
• Resolve Conflicts: Students will learn constructive ways to handle disagreements and maintain friendships.
• Foster Inclusivity: The program promotes kindness and empathy, encouraging students to embrace diversity within their peer groups.

Why Friendology 101?

Friendship is a fundamental part of childhood and plays a significant role in academic success and emotional well-being. By equipping our students with these vital skills, we aim to create a more positive and supportive school environment for everyone.

What’s Next?

Throughout the term, students will participate in interactive lessons and activities that promote teamwork and friendship. We encourage parents to engage with their children about what they’re learning and to reinforce these important lessons at home.

We are excited to see the positive impact that Friendology 101 will have on our school community. Thank you for your support as we embark on this journey together!

Coles Development 

Last week the site made some progress, see below items that were achieved:

• Commence the Ceilings in Level 3
• Continue with the Internal Stud and Track for Level 4 
• Continue the rendering to the façade on all elevations
• Continue with the Level 1 Waterproofing
• Continue the Level 2 Unit Works 
• Progressing with the Level 3 Ceiling Works
• Continue the waterproofing to the planter boxes and roofs 
• Hebel install for Level 4 Tower B
• Stripped scaffold in podium area 
• Crane dismantled
• Rough-in in 4A
• Commence Joinery to level 1 Kitchens

Over the coming week we anticipate the progress of the below:

• Commence the installing sliding doors to Level 1 
• Commence waterproofing to the Level 2 Planter Boxes and Level 2 Wet Areas.
• Continue of window install on level 2 & Level 3
• Hebel continuing Level 4B 
• Continue the painting to the façade on all elevations
• Commence the balustrade install throughout the Podium and Level 4 areas
• Commencing waterproof angles on 2B
• Commencing coating planterbox in podium area
• Commencement on public domain work
• Continuing floor leveling 2B
• Mobile crane coming in on the upcoming week
