Inquiry Centre
Highlight
Selamat Siang,
Wow what an exciting and busy week we have had! We began the week with all the 1/2 classes entering their new learning space. We were all very excited and have settled in well. Thanks to those of you that visited the new Garden Wing on Monday afternoon! It was great to have families view our new learning spaces. The web reopening has been an ABSOLUTE highlight for all in the Inquiry Centre this week!
In Literacy, we have been busy publishing, practicing and presenting our superpower speeches in preparation for the upcoming public speaking competition where 1 student from each class is chosen to present their speech in front of the school! It has been great to see so many students demonstrate bravery and perseverance to present their speeches! We have been practicing using a clear voice, reading with expression and at a just right pace.
In Writing, we have taken an imaginary trip to Gumbuya World where we scanned our ticket upon entry, visited the ride zone, waterslides zone, the café for a snack break, fruit and popcorn or chocolate, as well as the wildlife park zone. What a fun imaginary excursion to partake in! We wrote about our adventures and trip to Gumbuya World through an imaginative recount! Some students even said it was the best school day ever!
A friendly reminder that home talk has been posted on Seesaw in preparation for our Procedural writing next week! Students are asked to bring a toy to school on Wednesday the 6th of November to have ready for Thursday the 7th of November.
Have a cheerful and safe long weekend and we will see you on Wednesday!
Emma, Suzie, Miss Shaye, Amanda, Miss Emmett, Kate and Mrs Seadon.
