LODDON MALLEE ATHLETIC CARNIVAL

On Thursday, 10th of October, Baxter & Evie Donnellon, Abby & Layla Griffiths, Curtis & Luca Rice, Hugo & Maya Funcke, Milla Adams, and Mrs. Griffiths travelled to Bendigo to compete in the Loddon Mallee Regional Athletics Carnival. The conditions were perfect for athletics, though it got quite warm by the time the 1500m race was run in the afternoon!

Abby Griffiths finished first in the 17 girls' 1500m and the Open girls' 400m. She also took 2nd place in the 17 girls' long jump and 200m, and 3rd in the 17 girls' high jump. Milla Adams achieved 3rd place in the 14 girls' high jump. Hugo Funcke secured 3rd in the 14 boys' 1500m, improving on his 4th place finish from last year in the same event. Hugo once again finished strong, overtaking several runners in his final lap.

All students did a fantastic job reaching this level and represented the school admirably. Special thanks to Michelle Donnellon, who came along to support Baxter, Evie, and all the Donald High School students.
