Year 12 News

Kristin Pfitzner & Nick Rigas | Year 12 Coordinators

Exams

A big congratulations to those Year 12 students who have completed their English exam! There was much excitement as students exited the hall after their first exam. Well done!

We encourage all scored students to continue to maintain contact with their teachers throughout the examination period to receive feedback on practice exams or individual support.

Celebration of the final days of Year 12

The Year 12 students are to be congratulated on their positive participation in their end of year celebration activities.

On Monday students donned their primary school uniforms and enjoyed a morning tea of fairy bread, honey joys and chocolate crackles before playing a game of dodgeball against the staff at lunchtime.

Students are to be congratulated on their vast array of colourful costumes as part of Tuesday’s ‘Rhyme without a Reason’ theme. They were able to enjoy a barbecue lunch and took full advantage of the warmer weather to take turns on the slip and slide.

Students returned to school early Wednesday morning to enjoy a final breakfast with the Year 12 cohort. Many enjoyed dressing up as movie characters.

Exits

All students are only able to formally exit once they submitted the required paperwork to Ms Amor, which includes having a confirmed pathway. For scored students who are submitting exams, Mr Rigas will have these forms available to collect in the hall at your last exam.

Wellbeing support & Doctor in Schools

We would like to reiterate to all students that they are able to access not only career but also wellbeing support until the formal end of the Horsham College school year in December. We encourage students to take full advantage of these opportunities.

Valedictory Dinner

A reminded that the Valedictory Dinner will be held on Friday 13th December at 6:30pm in the Ian Maroske Hall (Dimboola Road). We look forward to celebrating the achievements of all 2024 Year 12 students on this evening.
