Colour Run

Our student’s fundraiser for the year is on tomorrow from 1.30pm at Alphington Park. 

The Colour Run is a bi-annual event involving all students running through coloured powder. Money raised, together with the funds raised from the Trivia Night and the Comedy Night is going to be used to re-surface the basketball court, new lines and backboards. We expect to be able to get this work done before the end of the year. The SRC have worked hard with the guidance of Martha to organize this event and it will be a fun experience for all. Thank you to Martha and the SRC for all their work. 

It isn’t too late to sign up or you can make a donation at the office. 

Class Placement 2025

We are well underway with planning for 2025. We will run 18 classes with single age groups again next year. It is the time of the year where I ask parents to email me if they are wanting to make an educationally based request for their child. We use a program called Class Solver, to form the classes. Staff enter data for each student about their academic progress, social development, anything else of relevance and friendships, which has been gathered from the students. Once the data has been entered the classes are created. The staff then review the classes carefully to ensure that all groups are ‘balanced’ and able to do their best learning. If you feel compelled to make an educationally based request then you are able to suggest no more than two students that you know your child should be with or to be separated from. This request must be made to me by email before Friday 15 November. Please note no late emails will be accepted and no requests for specific teachers will be considered.

6 June - Friday - Student Free Day (Monday 9th June King’s Birthday Public Holiday)

13 August - Wednesday - 3 Way Conferences 

11 September - Thursday - Staff Professional Practice Day

3 November - Monday - Day before Melbourne Cup

20 November - Thursday - Student Free Day

NB: TheirCare will operate on these days. Book directy with them.
