Principal's Update

At Dundas Public School we do our best always

Welcome to Term 4

I hope our students, families, and friends enjoyed a wonderful holiday break. It was a pleasure to welcome everyone back safely to school on Monday. It's amazing to think we're already two weeks into the final term of the 2024 school year, and the term is off to a fantastic start.

The Big Show Colour Fun Run

The Big Show Colour Fun Run was an incredible success, with perfect weather adding to the fun and energy of the day! Students had a great time navigating the course, which featured inflatables around the obstacle course, a slip and slide, and bursts of water and colourful powder.

We are pleased to announce that the event raised over $21,000 for our school! A special congratulations to classes 1/2B and 3/4B, who earned VIP treatment in their exclusive tent for raising the most funds. Please remember to order your prizes if you haven’t already done so, prize orders close on Friday, November 1st, 2024.

A big thank you to our dedicated teachers for setting up and organising this amazing event and to the community members who came along to help.

Grandparents Day

Our school was buzzing with excitement today as we welcomed grandparents into classroom to celebrate Grandparents Day. Grandparents shared their favourite stories and were interviewed about how school has changed since their times. Students shared their favourite memories of their grandparents and then enjoyed lovely picnic lunch on the Village Green. It was a memorable morning filled with joy across generations.

Performing Arts Showcase

The Performing Arts Showcase was a spectacular display of talent, bringing together students from all year levels for an unforgettable event. The audience enjoyed fantastic performances by both the Primary and Concert Bands, followed by the whole school uniting for a heartwarming rendition of Count on Me. The choir captivated everyone with a beautiful performance of A Million Dreams, while Kindergarten students charmed us with their lively version of Doe Re Mi. Both the Senior Dance Group and Junior Dance Troupe wowed the crowd with their energetic routines. Students shared inspiring poetry, and we also had some impressive dance, piano, and flute solos.

The showcase was a true celebration of the creativity and talent at our school. A big thank you to the teachers who dedicate their time to lead the performing arts groups and to the team of teachers who made this wonderful Performing Arts Showcase possible!

World Teachers Day

Today was World Teachers' Day and I want to take a moment to recognise the incredible work the staff at Dundas do every day. Their dedication, passion, and care make Dundas PS a special place where students thrive and grow.

A special thank you to the P&C for organising the coffee van and breakfast treats to help us celebrate this day. We appreciate your ongoing support!
