Foundation Fire Rescue Visit
On Wednesday 28th August, members of the Nunawading Fire Rescue visited our Foundation students to discuss fire safety and what to do in the event of a fire. On Wednesday 4th September, they returned with the Fire Truck for students to see.
Thank you to our Foundation team for organising such a wonderful event for the students.
Level 3 and 3/4L visit to the Melbourne Museum
On Thursday 29th August, students in Level 3 and 3/4L and on Tuesday 3rd September, Level 4 students visited the Melbourne Museum to learn about Australia's First Nations people and culture as part of our Term 3 Inquiry unit. The students visited numerous exhibits including the First Peoples Gallery, Indigenous Milarri Garden, Gondwana Garden, Dynamic Earth and more.
Thank you to our wonderful parent helpers and staff for making this day so enjoyable for our students.
Orchestra Workshop
On Thursday 29th of August, our senior orchestra and string orchestra, accompanied by our music teachers attended a collaborative workshop at Vermont Primary School.
Thank you to Megan Campbell and Steve Atkinson for supporting our students to attend this wonderful event.
Level 5 and 6 Metro Train Incursion
On Tuesday 3rd September, a speaker from Metro Trains, came and spoke to our Level 5 and Level 6 students about using the train services around Melbourne. With our Level 6 students heading off to secondary school in 2025, this information session was perfectly timed to ensure students will be able to navigate the Metro Train system safely.
Student Supervison in the School Grounds
A reminder that students must be accompanied by a parent or designated adult if in the school grounds before 8.45am in the morning and after 3.45pm in the afternoon.
Student supervision on school grounds is only available from 8.45am until 9.00am and in the afternoon from 3.30pm until 3.45pm.
The only exception is if your child is attending an organised event such as Run Club, Band, Choir or music lessons.
