Today is a great day to be you!

LEGO Masters Olympic Event

Coming up on Sunday September 15th is our RAFT LEGO Masters Day! This event will run in the gym from 1:00pm-4:30pm. Our RAFT Leaders, and LEGO Master himself, Ryan Evans, will be in attendance to ensure all attendees have a fun-filled afternoon of LEGO building.

RAFT has decided to lean into the Olympics and the challenges will involve Olympic-themed events. Can you create a LEGO build that can run down the track? Or launch a LEGO shot put? Maybe build a representation of flags of competing nations?

Come along with your family to test out your abilities and have some fun!

Footy Colours and Billy Cart Day

On the last day of Term 3, we will celebrate our annual Footy Colours and Billy Cart Day!

This is always a really fun event and we strongly encourage all students to get into the spirit of the day by dressing up in their favourite footy team colours. If your child does not support a football team, they are welcome to wear the colours of any team from any sport.

In addition to celebrating footy finals, the biggest highlight is always the billy cart races! This year, we are collecting consent online to ensure no students are missed and all participants can be updated right to the registration deadline.

Registrations for participants must be submitted by September 17th to allow time to organise pairings for races and ensure suitable timing for the morning's events. Please scan the QR Code below to register your child! We are looking forward to a fun day of racing and footy colours!

Reminder: This event is weather-dependent.

Student Attitudes to School Survey

Towards the end of Term 2, our Year 4, 5 and 6 students all participated in the annual Student Attitudes to School survey. This is an anonymous survey that provides our students with an additional opportunity to enact 'student voice' and reflect on their experiences at Rangeview.

We take the collected data and feedback from students very seriously, as we are always striving to improve our practices and programs to make this school the best place it can possibly be for our most important people.

The school leadership team has taken some time to view and discuss the data, and teaching staff have also dug into the data to celebrate the positives, but also identify future areas for improvement. This data was presented to School Council last week and it was great to also have our student leadership team provide their insights on the data and contribute to some celebrations and ideas moving forward.

We have worked very hard over the past couple of years on some specific 'wellbeing and engagement' related areas, and it was wonderful to see this work reflected in the survey results. Some key areas of focus have been:

  • Building Resilience
  • Gratitude, Empathy and Mindfulness (coping strategies)
  • Student Voice and Agency
  • Emotional Awareness and Understanding
  • Peer Relationships / Inclusion
  • Attitudes to Attendance
  • Community Connections

The Resilience Project - Digital Wellbeing Parent/Carer Night

We are very pleased to announce the new date of our highly anticipated TRP Digital Wellbeing night - Monday October 28th. The event will still run from 6:30pm-7:30pm, and child-minding will be offered from 6:15pm-7:45pm.

Unfortunately due to the change of date, we will need to gather new registrations in order to ensure we had adequate seating and child-minding supervision. We had just over 100 parents/carers register for the previous event - we would love to see all previous planned attendees prioritise this night - along with (hopefully) many new ones!

Please complete your registration for this event here.
