Fete News

Save the date: Friday 15th November:  4-9pm

The Fete is run every second year and can only happen if we share the load and have as many members as possible of the COHR School Comunity help out. It is run by volunteers - parents of our students. So please help out and contribute in as many ways as you can.

Are you following our COHR Fete Facebook page?

We are calling out for:

  • Anyone with an RSA to help out with the bar
  • Skilled people for crazy hair and facepainting
  • Anyone connected with a wine merchant or bottle shop to help out with donations

Please let the Office know if you can help out with any of these.

Pick-a-Jar - Always the Favourite Stall!

We need empty jars - please place in the boxes below the table in the foyer

jars. If you can fill a jar, please take the empty ones to fill.

We need full jars - we would love for you to start filling jars with goodies and place them in the box in the foyer

Jar Guidelines:

  • Please ensure the jar is odourless. Jars that have had garlic, pasta sauce or other strong odours should not be used.
  • Remove labels from the jars.
  • Please don't wrap the jars.
  • If you are feeling generous but a little time poor, a $5 note in a jar is always very popular.
  • Lots of cheap fun items can be used to fill the jars - lollies, chocolates, balloons, bouncy balls, arts and crafts, hair stuff, jewellery and stationery  are some suggestions.
  • If you have too many empty jars, please feel free to leave them in the foyer for others to fill.

White Elephant

The Big Wheel prizes are new items, if you have used items in good condition, you can place them on the labelled tables in the Community Hub for the White Elephant Stall.

Plant Stall

If you have a green thumb, please be planting seedlings for our our Plant Stall.

Thanks so much to those who attended our Fete Meeting on the 3rd September, many hands do make light work. Our next meeting is Tuesday 15th October at 7pm in the Staffroom. Everyone is very welcome to attend, as we do need more helpers and it is a great way to get involved in the school.
