Inquiry - Geography
JLC have had a wonderful time learning and celebrating all things ‘Olympics.’ Students chose a country to follow, updating medal tallies for their country each day. During sport they practised some of the Olympic activities such as sprints and relays. Last Friday, the Grade One and Two students versed each other and competed in their own mini Olympics. The Egg & Spoon Race, Equestrian, Hungry Hippo, Rhythmic Gymastics and Rebound Wall were a whole heap of fun! The kids had an amazing time!
This week in Geography we have begun learning about our planet, looking at the seven different continents on a world map.
Excursion
On the 6th of September, in Week 8, our Grade One and Two students will be going on an excursion to Echuca. They will get to experience a cruise down the river on a paddle steamer, complete a workshop at TwistEd Science, and go for a walk down the Port of Echuca. Permission notes will have more details about the day.
Please remember that students will need to arrive at school by 7:30am for a 7:45am departure.
